So often life seems to reduce itself to struggle…a struggle to feel or do something new, something different. But we men are often baffled: anything new really feels impossible.
So the distressing questions often come down to: Am I doomed to repeat my past forever? Is my life nothing but a hopeless wrestling match? Is there any hope of progress in life?
This Fall, as we have done for many years, On The Common Ground’s Village Of Brothers will gather at Camp Hi Rock to experience these questions.
When all is said and done, is there any chance of Anything New In My Life?? Is there some way I can enter into a genuinely new path for myself? What support can I feel for any real hope? |

We will offer exercises, talk, silence, and play to allow each man to deepen his own experience of himself. On Saturday evening, a Sweat Lodge will serve as the focus of our being together as brothers.
Most importantly, the Retreat is not about subjecting ourselves to anyone’s program or agenda. The only goal is to allow each man to come away with a deepening sense of how he himself experiences the questions we are confronting.
Our experience over the years tells us that every one of us holds some insight into, some wisdom about, our common experience. Therefore, we cannot do without you. Please come and add your life to that of all the brothers who will be seeking answers together. |
